This was the kids and my creation this Easter season. It's the emptytomb. I wanted my kids to understand what it meant that the tomb was/is empty so what better way then make one, right? Any way we have had fun talking about Jesus' death for our sins, why he was raised from the dead, and what his friends and family thought when he was raised into heaven and of curse watching the grass grow around "his tomb". Luke 24:6 "He is not here; he has risen!"
Molly and Anne had the day off from school on Monday so we made the most of it. We went to the children's museum in the morning out for lunch after and then went to the park in the afternoon. It was so much fun. I'm SO ready for spring break for that matter I'm SOO ready for summer!
I let the girls make mud pies the other day. They had a blast!!! They used my Great-grandma's (Nannie) pans, I couldn't help but think how proud she would be of them making pies even if it was out of mud. =)
So Owen decided last week he was ready to go to big boy undies. I'm full believer that when the kid is ready they will let you know, so until then I will do the diaper thing! In fact I almost dread the change because diapers are so easy. =) But Owen was ready and excited. I even bought a full thing of lighting McQueen pull ups but he wouldn't have anything to do with them he wanted to go straight to the real thing! Go O!!! It is hard to believe that all my babies are done with diapers! Wow! (at least during the day that is!)
Molly and little Harper. Molly's old speech teacher, Ms. Megan, had a baby girl in Jan!! They came over for a playdate and the girls LOVED holding her.
Owen and his monkey now have matching lighting McQueen house-shoes. I cannot get him to take off the basketball shorts (thanks Mindy) or the house-shoes. I think he has worn basketball shorts for 5 days now, clean ones every day but still....
Owen and Titan continue to be a cute little team to watch. O hits the ball Titan runs to get it. It works out pretty well until Titan doesn't want to give the ball back. =)
