After School Today

Today after school and homework we went outside to play.  It was a warm out and looked like it wanted to rain, but didn't.  The kids (really the girls) were letting me take pictures so I did and I had a blast.  They are so much fun and I know one day (not so long in the future) Josh and I are going to love looking at all these pictures I take.  They are growing up too fast!  Wish I could freeze time. =)

Fun Morning with Sophia Grace & Owen

This morning Sophia Grace got to come over and play while Aunt Betsy had a doctor's appointment.  We had fun!  Played baseball, read books, ate fruity loopys (fruit loops), colored, played in the girls bunk beds, glow in the dark necklaces (these two played in a dark closet with their necklaces forever I kept waiting for them to come out!)...  Owen loves Sophia Grace and I think he was a happy little guy to get her all to himself.

Monster Truck Date: Owen & Daddy

Josh took Owen to see the Monster Truck show here in Greensboro last weekend.  Let me just say my little guy has not stopped talking about it.  He had the time of his life and we will be going again next year.  =)  The girls and I went on a date too.  We went to dinner at Mimi's Cafe and then to the pet store, shoe store, jewlely store to get clip on earrings, and then ice cream!  It was a fun night for all of us crazy five.

SNOW DAY!!!! NO SCHOOL=HAPPY MAMA

It snowed last night!  The kids woke up at 7am ready to go.  Josh and kids were out by 7:30 and didn't come back till 9:15!!  I had hot coco and bacon and cinnamon rolls ready.  What a fun treat for us all.  Josh is even working from home so we are all under one roof!!!  To even add to the happiness the girls are out of school on Monday and Tuesday of next week!  Fun, Fun, Fun!!!!

Grandma Bev

Yesterday morning we got a phone call that Grandma Bev had pasted away early in the morning.  I spent much of the day yesterday thinking about her and all my memories of her.  Her smile, her wild rice soup, her sweet letters she wrote us, the thoughtful gifts she would send, the books we have with her hand-writting in them, the way she looked at our wedding, our last family visit to see them.  There are so many more...  Last month Annie and Josh got to go to St.Paul to visit!  What a fun memory  for our Annie Claire.  I know I'm only the grand-daughter in-law but I am thankful for her and the role she played in my life.  Grandpa Jim we love you and wish we could all come to give you a hug but glad Josh will be there tomorrow.  Sending lots of love to you all!

Tough Chick

So Annie is playing basketball too this season.  She is on a little kindergarten team with Upward and enjoying it.  She is by far the smallest on the team and if you ask me the cutest!  Last night she had her first injury she caught the ball with her face... she got a little mark from it (as you can see in the picture right by her eye)!  But the big thing is right after it she got her first basket!!!  She has been trying so hard to get the ball up and it never really gets to close to the hoop BUT last night she got it up and in!!!  We were so thrilled!  Her games start in Feb.  They have a few more weeks of practice before games.  Cannot wait!

Molly's first Basketball Game of the season

Today was Molly's first basketball game of the season!  She did great.  She got the Christ like star at the  end of the game-as you can see she was thrilled!  Her best friend Molly C. is also on her team along with another Molly.  We have Molly A., Molly B. and a Molly C. on the team.  Kind of funny!

Snow Tubing

Yesterday we took the kids to Sugar Mt. to snow tube.  It was so much fun.  Sad that our vacation is coming to an end.
