Spirit Week at Upward

Last weekend was spirit week with Upward Basketball.  The girls had fun making signs and painting their faces for it.  It has been great to watch them week after week enjoy the sport of basketball.  This weekend is their last game.  Kind of sad but don't have time to be too sad since soccer starts up next week.  =)  Nothing like one sport ending and another starting up.  All 3 kids are playing soccer!  Owen is beside himself with excitement.  =)

My "new" kitchen table

So last week I decided to give my table a "facelift".  It is a table I bought at Goodwill for $25 at least 4 years ago, it has food in cracks, paint from all our art projects and I am sure things I don't know about  and don't care to.  =)  It has been the perfect table for us.  I don't care what the kids (or Josh) do to it because it was only $25 from Goodwill.  Well, it was looking pretty sad and I saw a picture of a table a lady made herself on Pinterest and thought I would give it a try.  I just made the top and sat it onto the old table, aka the facelift!  Thinking about doing benches to match... we will see.  It was fun and didn't take me long at all.  Plus I had the kids helping me so it was a fun project to do with them.

Super Hero's in the house

Yesterday the girls were home from school= FUN!  We were going to go to the zoo but it was a cold day, so we came up with the idea to make super hero capes!  Off to the craft store to shop we flew...  Molly is Super Cowgirl, Annie is Super Ballerina Girl, and Owen is Super Daddy Two.  It was so much fun and so easy.  I love being creative with my kids!

Afternoon walk in the woods

It was a nice sunny cool day for a walk.  Josh worked from home so he got to take a break and join us. Titan ran up and down the trails like a crazy dog the whole time.  Annie picked up rocks along the way.  Owen splashed in puddles.  Molly chased the dog.  And I took the pictures.  It was perfect!

Happy Valentine's Day

I LOVE holidays.  Everything that comes along with them, the decorating, the gifts, the smiles on my kids faces, balloons, cards... I love it all!  Valentines Day is one of my favorite.  I feel like as a society we get so busy with life that we don't always take time to LOVE those that are so special to us.  Valentines is that day to really treat the ones we love with LOVE, to show them we care, to say it.  I love it!  We started off the day with a family breakfast and opening valentine gifts.  Waffles in heart shaped bowls never tasted better! =) The girls had a 1/2 day at school (LOVE) so Owen and I picked them up at 12:30 and came home for our Valentine's Day Tea Party.  As I finished getting the cookies and cupcakes on the plates and the water heated for their hot coco they ran up stairs and dressed up.  What a fun time sitting around the table talking. We talked about anything from basketball games to real life princesses, to telling them about some of the fun things Josh and I would do for valentines before they came along.  It was a fun hour of sitting there with my princesses.  (O was taking a nap he joined in at the end)  Happy Valentine's Day from the Crazy five!

Father/Daughter Dance

Last night after Annie's bball game was the father/daughter dance our church does.  I won't lie it is one of my favorite things of the year.  I love seeing our girls get dressed up and feel like princesses and seeing Josh in his blue suit (for Molly) and his purple tie (for Annie).  They had a blast.  Didn't get home till 10:30 last night...  and loved telling me all about it as I put them to bed.  What a special time for my man and our girls!
