Miss.Anne in Chapel
Anne came home a few weeks ago saying she signed up to sing in chapel... what!?! Sing in chapel, I won't lie didn't really think much about it. I think my reply was "Ok Anne just let me know when so I can come see." Not really thinking much of it. I mean come on we are the new family. =) Well, last Thursday I got an email from Anne's music teacher saying she would be singing a duet with her friend Elle on Monday in Chapel!!! They had picked the song God is so Good and asked if we would help her over the weekend. Is this really my kid, I so didn't do things like sing! Let me (as a VERY proud parent) say she ROCKED it! She was so cute and her and her little friend did awesome!
Changing schools has had it's ups and downs but moments like this are amazing! I could not be more proud of both of my girls. Way to go Anne, I look forward to seeing you shine many more times!

Molly and Anne (she is going by Anne at her new school) at opening chapel
This past Wednesday was the girls first day of school at their new school Canterbury. We are thrilled to report that both girls loved it! As happy as I am that they are doing so well, you know I hate I mean HATE it when my kids go back to school. I love that they are with me all day long, that we can spend the days at the pool, go do fun things whenever we want, stay in our pj's and watch movies. I just like having them with me. This past summer was a full one, Josh changed jobs, we moved into our new house (which is still under construction), and then we threw them in a new school, wow busy. It was a hard decision to move the girls from Morehead. We have loved so many things about their old school, their kindergarden teachers were amazing, Molly's 2nd grade teacher was great, and we loved that it was an art school full of music, dance, drama and lots of art work. But after much prayer we felt God was leading us to Canterbury. He worked out all the details and it just felt right. In the past I have spent much of my summer praying and worrying (not proud of that, the worry part) my girls would get good teachers. It seemed like there was always one teacher you just didn't want to get in each grade. And I would worry for my girls, well this summer was different-peaceful. Don't get me wrong I prayed but I prayed for them to get the right teacher for them, that they would make good friends, and that they would feel at home in their new school and then I had a peace. I started this year with a peace knowing my girls were going to be loved and not yelled at, taught and not passed up. Don't get me wrong I'm sure this year will have it's ups and downs but I'm trusting God and giving Him my kids (or really HIS kids) and then resting in His PEACE for them. "Now may the Lord of PEACE himself give you PEACE at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you." 2 Thess 3:16 "All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their PEACE." Isaiah 54:13
